The course was really happy to welcome back, artist Gary Long for a day of scenario based life drawing with Level 2 students. Gary worked as the course’s resident life drawing tutor for 18 years until he retired two years ago. Gary’s background is as an illustrator working in both the UK and Canada but for a number of years has focussed on painting, particularly Landscapes. His work can been in numerous galleries throughout the UK.

The main illustration seminar room was temporarily converted into a Jazz Club with students and staff posing while music from Gary’s extensive Jazz record collection provided the soundtrack. Gary will be returning to repeat the session for Level One students in June.
