This is the first posting for a number of months. Apologies for taking so long since the last update. So much has happened since the last time I posted including the 2nd year trip to Berlin. 3rd years travelling to the Bologna Book fair. The MA Illustration Forum (entitled ‘Blue’). Visits by David Doran and his agent Matthew Shearer, the first years Project X outcomes, and the publication of ‘Wunderkammer’, our exciting replacement for the popular ‘Quotes & Sayings’ books.
Postings on all of these events, including photos, will take place over the next few weeks, but the focus of the blog for the next week will be this year’s New York Study Trip. As I write this we (48 Falmouth Illustration students plus) are 36,000 feet over the Atlantic. The students have done a great job in organising themselves in preparation for the trip. An impressive thirty visits have been organised, covering all areas of the industry, including visits to; Chase Design Group, Vault 49, Bust Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Mendola Illustration Agency, Penguin Books, Plan Sponsor, Scholastic, Littlebrown Books and Farrar, Strauss, Giroux and more…
I will update as often as possible during the week. Good luck to our students visiting London too….
